KC: Making a Difference

About David

2005 International Family of the Year
KC International Family of the Year 2005: The Novack Family

David L. Novack received his contract with the Insurance Agency on August 1, 2007. He continues the vision that Father McGivney first started in 1882; protect families from financial ruin. He accomplishes this first and foremost by upholding himself to the highest code of ethics. Second, David protects families by providing access to the Knights of Columbus products. Last as a professional, his job is to educate and provide common sense advice to each member?s needs.

When most people think of David they think of a family man. He grew up in St. Paul, the oldest of four boys. After graduating from Cretin-Derham High School he briefly attended St. John Vianney Seminary. While always having a love for his family, it took on new heights after working side by side with his Father for fifteen years.

He is happily married to his wife Polly. They have three children; Tess age 13, Charlie age 11 and Johnny age 8. They attend St. Thomas Becket Church in Eagan. They enjoy the MN Twins and vacationing, especially in the Wisconsin Dells. Mom and Dad kept a life long promise to the kids and took them to Walt Disney World in December of 2009. The kids enjoyed every moment. The entire family is very active in Scouting. Tess is in Girl Scouts and working towards her Silver Award. Charlie is in his first years of Boy Scouting but has earned the rank of First Class. Their youngest Johnny is in Cub Scouts and is currently a Wolf Scout. Dad is Assistant Scoutmaster for the Troop and the Membership Chair for the Pack. Mom serves as Den leader for Johnny's patrol and is a Troop Committee member.

David has been actively involved with the Knights since joining in March of 1996. He has served as Chancellor, Deputy Grand Knight and Grand Knight for two years, earning Star Council both years. He served on the state staff as Community Director and later as the Family Director. He later served as a Regional Program Consultant. The highlight of his Knight?s career was when in 2005 he and his family were selected as the International Family of the Year.
